Bicycling Review
Issue: Mar 2009
Page: 76 Editorial Review
PARTS SPEC-TACULAR: This new, entry-level offering is one of the best overall values of the bunch. A full Shimano Tiagra drivetrain from the shifters to the rear derailleur and a nine-speed rear cassette help set this bike apart from others in this category. Vittoria Zaffiro tires improve handling and overall ride quality, while a carbon fork mutes road vibe on the front end. READY TO EVOLVE: The hydroformed aluminum frame's geometry is upright for the beginner, but can easily be made more aggressive with a flip of the stem as the rider's skills evolve. The GTR Series 3 offers a ton of bike for the money and is definitely a frame to grow into.—David L'Heureux
