Sunflowers: An Icon of the Tour
As the riders head towards the Pyrenees for the first of four stages, they were offered a final glimpse of the majestic sunflower fields that line so many of the Tour's roads in southern France. Soon, however, the roads turned upward and they had little chance to look around.
